Round 1.75-inch AMOLED touch development with 466 × 466 color display, T5-E1 Wi-Fi and BLE, audio and IMU hardware. Waveshare reference for EmotiToy OEM/ODM integration.
Round Color Touch Display for AI Toy Development
The T5-E1 1.75-Inch Round AMOLED Touch AI Toy Module is an EmotiToy OEM/ODM integration direction based on Waveshare's T5-E1-Touch-AMOLED-1.75 development board. It combines a circular color interface with wireless connectivity, audio hardware and motion sensing for interactive character projects.
This listing uses the standard non-GPS board as its reference. It is a development and integration offering; the final enclosure, firmware, accessories and production specification are defined in the project quotation. The main image is a reference-design illustration, not a photograph of an EmotiToy production sample.

Brightness and contrast are manufacturer ratings, not measurements of a finished EmotiToy toy. Battery capacity, runtime, finished dimensions and weight are specified for the approved assembly. Battery, TF card and other accessories are not assumed included in an EmotiToy quotation.
Touch Controller Revision Note
Waveshare's feature and product tables identify CST9217, while a later Wiki subsection names FT3168. Capacitive touch is confirmed; the controller part number and matching driver are checked against the supplied board revision before development.
Color Character UI and Touch Interaction
A round AMOLED interface provides a development route for animated character faces, menu controls and visual feedback. EmotiToy can scope a branded character interface around approved artwork, screen states and touch actions. Define the interaction first: tap to select a mode, navigate a menu or trigger an approved animation and sound response.
Plan visual assets for a circular viewport so captions, icons and controls remain readable near the edge. Review screen brightness, idle behavior and animation timing on the actual sample. A screen demonstration does not establish a fixed animation count, a finished virtual-pet game or a validated battery runtime.
AI Voice and Audio Integration
The manufacturer describes Tuya AI agent and TuyaOpen support. The board has an onboard microphone and audio input/output facilities. Its published schematic includes an NS4150B speaker amplifier and a dedicated speaker connection.
For an AI character product, the development brief defines the activation method, language, voice, cloud configuration and displayed response. Sound quality depends on the speaker, housing openings, microphone position and firmware as well as the board itself. Evaluate the complete assembly for intelligibility, feedback and usable volume.
Online AI functions need a configured service and network. This listing does not include a guarantee of permanent free AI service, unrestricted model switching or an existing connection to a buyer's own backend. Those requirements belong in the software and commercial scope.
Motion Sensing, Clock and Local Storage
The IMU provides device-motion input, and the RTC supports time-based software functions. A custom project can map selected movement or button events to character behavior. Motion sensing of the device is different from contactless hand-gesture recognition.
Use storage expansion for approved media and resources supported by the application. The firmware, file format and asset budget are agreed during development. A TF slot alone does not establish USB drag-and-drop music transfer or support for every audio format.
Standard Board and GPS Variant
| Configuration | Standard | GPS option |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturer model | T5-E1-Touch-AMOLED-1.75 | T5-E1-Touch-AMOLED-1.75-G |
| AMOLED touch interface | Included in reference board | Included in reference board |
| GNSS hardware | Not included | LC76G and external antenna |
| Use in this listing | Base reference | Separately selected option |
GPS reception and location software require their own antenna placement and test plan. GPS is not a cellular data connection. No 4G modem or camera is specified for the standard board on this page.
Toy and Character Application Directions
- Round-screen AI companions with character artwork, audio feedback and touch navigation.
- Desktop interactive characters using a compact display and separate enclosure design.
- Electronic badge concepts with custom attachment, power and housing development.
- Learning and activity devices with an approved menu and content flow.
- Engineering prototypes used to evaluate a color-screen toy before a custom PCB.
These are proposed integration applications. The development board is not automatically a finished badge, wearable or certified children's toy. Attachment hardware, protected battery accommodation, controls and the intended user's needs are addressed in the finished-product design.
OEM / ODM Development Scope
Send your character artwork, target product format, quantity, market and required interaction. Specify whether you need a base-board evaluation, a housed prototype or a custom electronics and firmware project.
The proposed work can cover UI assets, menu logic, button mapping, speaker integration, enclosure design, power layout and sample preparation. External motors or sensors require compatible drivers, power and available I/O. The quotation records the board variant, accessory list, firmware deliverables, development charges and test responsibilities.
This is a separate platform from the T5 Pocket AI Camera & Screen Toy Module: the display technology, form factor, controls and peripherals differ. Compatibility must be reviewed rather than assuming the two assemblies accept identical firmware.
Sample and Production Review
- Select the standard or GPS board and confirm its revision.
- Agree the UI, voice interaction, accessories and power arrangement.
- Prepare the enclosure and working sample.
- Check touch response, audio, display, network reconnection and power behavior.
- Approve the finished specification and market-specific test requirements.
- Confirm assembly checks, packaging, quotation and lead time.
Manufacturer reference documentation is linked below. It does not establish EmotiToy stock availability, finished-product certification or completed production testing. Sample scope, MOQ and price follow the agreed configuration.
